I don’t know about you, but the quarter seems to have flown by. As another year is coming to a close, it is time to celebrate that we have made it through the stress of classes. And what better way to celebrate our success than by having a carnival?
Spring Thing is Clark’s end of the year event, which provides many fun activities to students, faculty, and staff. This year the ASCC will be hosting it Friday, June 10th from 10 – 2pm, there will be so many fun things to do.
Some of them include meeting the Reptile man. If you’ve never had the chance, I highly recommend it. It is pretty interesting to come face-to-face with all of the little (and large) critters he has. I never had a desire to get too close, but you might!
In addition, get your face elaborately decorated with one of the airbrush artists, or visit the caricature artists! You know that you want to have a caricature self-portrait. How often do you get to do that?
Make sure to capture the exciting moment with your friends at the photo booth and don’t miss the chance to hear what’s in store for your future with a fortune teller.
These are only a few of the activities that will be there. I probably shouldn’t leave off the fact that there will be an inflatable slide.
One of my favorite parts of Spring Thing is the live music. This year we are excited to have a band from Seattle, Local Strangers, preforming in Anderson Plaza.
So, put away the books and come out for some fun in the sun with your fellow classmates, and you may even get a photo with Oswald!
We look forward to seeing you there!
