Everyone’s working hard to finish this school year strong; we’re all pushing ourselves to learn everything in time for finals. Although that is very productive, it’s also crucial for students to recharge effectively. We need to be sure that we have enough energy to overcome the last hurdle before school’s out. It’s not healthy to be stuck inside studying for hours without any breaks, and it’s actually unproductive to cram information when the brain is not retaining it. At that point, it’s best to walk away from the books for a while and find something fun to do.
Thankfully, there is a great stress-relieving event coming up during the last week of classes before finals. There are multiple fun-filled events such as free massages, cookie decorating and eating, and the arrival of adorable service puppies that are waiting for you to play and pet!
The event is called, “Having a Ruff Day?” and it is hosted by the Clark College Student Life with the help of the Pathways Center, Veteran Resources Center, Disability Support Services, and the Counseling and Health Center. It will take place on Tuesday, June 9th from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Anderson Fountain outside Cannell Library. This is the time to get some fresh air and relax with your fellow students. In case of rain on that day, the event will take place in PUB 161; the Fireside Lounge next to the Student Life Office. The event is free and open to Clark students and the community so bring your friends!
So don’t be stressed! Make sure to stop by to check out the “Having a Ruff Day?” event and spend time with some cute puppies. Check out their Facebook page for more information.
